Philadelphia, PA - 20th Annual Blessing of the Nativity Scene to be Celebrated in New Location. Reverend Dennis Gill, Director of the Archdiocesan Office for Divine Worship and Rector of the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul will preside over the 20th annual Blessing of the Nativity Scene. Philadelphia, PA - 20th Annual Blessing of the Nativity Scene to be Celebrated in New Location. Reverend Dennis Gill, Director of the Archdiocesan Office for Divine Worship and Rector of the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul will preside over the 20th annual Blessing of the Nativity Scene.

The crèche will be located at 18th and Race Streets in Philadelphia this year.

Each year, the event is organized by the Christmas Crèche Committee and sponsored by the Ancient Order of Hibernians and the Knights of Columbus.

In addition to the blessing, students from Saint Francis Xavier Parish Elementary School in Philadelphia will perform traditional Christmas carols. The event is open to the public and all are welcome.



This is the first year that the crèche will be at this location due to construction taking place at its previous home at LOVE Park.
