Philadelphia, PA - Philly Beer Week XII, launched last night with “Opening Tap” at the brand-new, bigger and better location at the 2300 Arena in South Philadelphia on Friday, May 31, 2019. The new site allowed for some exciting changes as well as a record number of participants.
Opening Tap is PBW’s main event, bringing together the entire craft beer community for a celebration of the “first tapping” to begin the ten-day-long festivities – followed by a high energy party with endless samples. The highly-anticipated night, Opening Tap featured rare and limited pours from various local breweries and live entertainment.
The evening was filled with entertainment, as a live DJ entertained the crowd, and this year, guests had a chance to sing along with a live band.
Philly Beer Week is now entering its 12th year. Over 10 days, there will be more than 1,000 events – and tens of thousands of kegs kicked.
