Philadelphia, PA - In celebration of National Coffee Day enjoy their signature Affogato for just $5 -- your choice of their world famous gelato drowned with a shot of La Colombe espresso.
There are numerous flavor combinations recommended by owner and Gelato Artisan, Stephanie Reitano including Thai Coconut Milk (pictured below), Fior Di Latte (milk gelato, milk from an Amish family’s single herd of hormone-free, grass-fed cows in Lancaster County), Nocciola Piemontese (hazelnut gelato made with nuts from the Piedmont region of Italy), and of course Ciccolato Scuro (dark, dark chocolate), which she describes as “rich, black and serious.”
This delectable deal will be available all day at all Capogiro locations as well as their sister restaurant in Old City, Capofitto (233 Chestnut St)

The family owned and operated gelateria was conceived while Stephanie and John Reitano vacationed in John’s native Italy. Baffled at the lack of gelato back home, the couple decided to bring the Italian National pleasure back stateside. Staying true to Italian tradition, Stephanie first looks locally to find the best ingredients, selects flavors as dictated by the seasons, and crafts gelato from scratch in small batches each morning. Capogiro pasteurizers milk from Lancaster grass-fed, hormone-free cows at their dairy in East Falls.
