PhillyBite Pig FundrasierPhiladelphia, PA - Joe’s Steaks + Soda Shop, possibly Philadelphia’s most popular cheesesteak spot, is delighted to declare Milkshake’s for Milkshake: a fundraising event for one of Philly’s loved pig.

On Monday, April 16th 100% of profits from each and every milkshake purchased will be generously donated to Greensgrow Farms’ gofundme to help save Milkshake – the unofficial mascot of the urban farm in Kensington. Milkshake earns his keep by weeding the greenhouse, turning soil, consuming scraps, and educating and amusing visitors of all ages.

“As an animal lover myself, I knew we had to do something when I heard about poor Milkshake,” said owner, Joe Groh.

Earlier on this week Milkshake, the 250-lb porcine, fell dangerously sick and was raced to Mt. Laurel Animal Hospital. Regrettably, his conditioned gotten worse and he ended up being transferred to the New Bolton Center in Kennett Square.
