Philly Pot Lobster Clambakes at The Red Owl Tavern

Philadelphia, PAPhillyBite Lobaster Clambake - Red Owl Tavern is bringing its über-popular Lobster Clambakes for just $25 every Monday — now through Labor Day; and all new for Summer ’18 will offer two versions, traditional New England Style and new Philly Pot, made with local craft beer.


Philly Pot Lobster Clambakes feature a broth made with Red Owl Tavern’s freshly relaunched Brewer of the Month. Guests indulging in Philly Style Lobster Clambakes throughout the month of June will enjoy a broth made with Victory Brewing Company’s Summer Love Golden Ale. Additionally, Philly Style features garlic, lobster stock, fresh herbs butter and, well, more love.

Traditional New England Style Lobster Clambakes at Red Owl Tavern are made with white wine, sherry, shellfish reduction and compound butter.

Either way, seafood lovers will enjoy the classic one-pot feast filled with mouth-watering mussels, clams, shrimp, fingerling potatoes, corn on the cob, and topped with a one-pound lobster, served in classic speckled enamelware black pot, both inside the rustic chic restaurant and outdoors on Red Owl Tavern’s outdoor seating.

  Additionally, Red Owl Tavern recently revamped its outdoor seating on 5th and Chestnut streets, both boasting views of Independence Hall with more comfortable and inviting seating, perfect for warm weather feasting and imbibing.



Victory Brewing Company’s Summer Love will be on tap at Red Owl Tavern throughout the month for just $5 as the featured Brewer of the Month beer. Additionally, wine lovers will enjoy $25 bottles of Red Owl Tavern’s custom curated house Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon during Monday’s Lobster Clambakes.

Both Lobster Clambakes are available throughout the week and cost $39 Tuesday-Sunday at the rustic American tavern with extensive outdoor seating on Independence Mall.



Other Red Owl Tavern highlights include a new seasonal cocktail menu crafted by Kyle Darrow, Lead Bartender, one of the city’s best whiskey selections and new Brewer of the Month program, launching on June 1, 2018.
