New Restaurants To Try in Philly Right Now
From an NYC-style delicatessen and a traditional Jewish deli to Stockton, NJ to underground passage has a private sweet-easy next to Pat's vs Geno's in South Philly. Listed below are a few new openings for 2021 in the Philly Area from our friends at The Philadelphia Caller.
Terrassa in Fishtown - The owners of Fabrika, the acclaimed Fishtown restaurant/lounge, and entertainment venue, is unveiling a new concept underneath a plexiglass-covered outdoor space attached to the converted former ice cream machine factory. They will offer a more casual, family-friendly menu of international and shareable plates loaded with exotic flavors.
Borscht Belt Delicatessen - Nick Liberato brings a New York-style Delicatessen and a traditional Jewish deli to Stockton, New Jersey. Located at Stockton Market at 19 Bridge Street, the restaurant will officially open on Saturday, June 19, 2021.
Revival Pizza Pub - is a new hospitality concept by owners Justin Weathers and Joe Monnich. The menu will focus on Modern American fare, including housemade pasta, mussels, handhelds, small plates, and pizza using Monnich's secret sourdough recipe.
Bagels and Co - will come complete with more than a dozen varieties of cooked-fresh on-site daily-made bagels for its opening menu - plus over TWO DOZEN varieties of cream cheeses. Additionally, look for vegan and gluten-free offerings, non-dairy spreads, breakfast and lunch sandwiches, coffee drinks, baked goods, and other cafe items.
Insomnia Cookies Speakeasy - Located right across the street from South Philly's Pat's and Geno's cheesesteaks shops at 833 Wharton Street in East Passyunk is secret. The storefront says Insomnia Cookies, but do not be fooled. Like any speakeasy, this underground passage has a private area for those in the know.
