Philadelphia, PA - Seasoned restaurant veterans Robert and Benjamin Bynum, brothers who have been in the culinary scene since launching Zanzibar Blue in 1990, moved their health-conscious Southern eatery Green Soul from Chestnut Hill to North Broad Street.


HealtyThe new restaurant focuses on soul fare with countertop service during the day and dining table service in the evening hours. There’s additionally a stage for live music, poetry readings, and various other public presentation. The location is next to Bynums’ restaurant/jazz club South, which has a new menu under new Chef Elijah Milligan.

The Green Soul idea was created in 2011 out of a longing to promote healthy options to traditional Soul Food. Tasty as it may be, Soul Food is not regarded for its health advantages!
