Philadelphia, PA The Bourse Food Hall Grand Opening - MRP Realty will officially open The Bourse Food Hall on Thursday, November 15th, and the celebration continues into Friday, November 16th. A Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony by Mayor Jim Kenney will mark the opening on Thursday, November 15th at 9 am. Then, the first one hundred customers to dine at The Bourse Food Hall for breakfast (9:15 a.m.), the lunch (noon), and dinner (5 p.m.) are going to receive gift items including “Taste of The Bourse” souvenir bags, gift cards, vendors giveaways, and a lot more. The Bourse will also raffle off larger prizes, including tickets to Flyers and 76ers games.

The opening party continues on Friday, November 16th, with "The Bourse Bonanza," an all-day event full of entertainment along with hourly performances and guest appearances from Swoop and Eagles cheerleaders. A small Mummers procession will also form featuring the Quaker City String Band, acrobats and stilt walkers, and finally famous re-enactors such as Philly's own Ben Franklin.

“What makes The Bourse Food Hall so special is its sense of discovery,” says Michael Morris, Principal of CANAdev and leasing agent for the project. “We have something for everyone — a quality cheesesteak to a fancy grilled cheese -- but we also have diverse offerings reflective of Philadelphia’s global culinary scene, like Indian street food, artisanal Belgian chocolates, and award-winning local craft spirits.”

The Bourse is a grand Beaux-Arts building built in 1891 and established as the country's very first commodities exchange and the first worldwide to function like a stock exchange, maritime exchange, plus grain-trading exchange at the same time. The new food hall today is the anchor to a 9 leveled atrium offering 250,000 square feet of refurbished office spaces, most notably the 3rd Philadelphia location for MakeOffices, a turnkey, low-cost co-working and also shared office space approach with comprehensive services such as a 5,000 square foot health and fitness center, a fantastic open kitchen, coffee shop, and event area.
