The Halal Guys Expand in Philly to University City

Halal Guys philadelphia OpeningsThe Halal Guys franchise began out of a hot dog cart in NYC in 1990, the original entrepreneurs, Muhammed Abouelenein, Ahmed Elsaka, and Abdelbaset Elsayed, expanded the small business into the profitable fast-casual franchise that you see today. Growing their American Halal food concept in addition to making it available outside of NYC region.

When asked last year by PhillyBite why they made the decision to open up The Halal Guys, owner Saquib Rashid said, “We would go to NYC and loved eating at The Halal Guys, we loved the food there. Therefore, when The Halal Guys decided to expand into a franchise and they contacted Naveen about opening one in Philadelphia. It was a 2-minute conversation.”

Exactly what makes them stand out above the crowd? The team never compromises on the food, seeing to it that only the very best ingredients go into everything they prepare. So that the food is as good the very first time you visit as is every single time you revisit.

Check them out at: 3816-36 Chestnut Street, Unit 1 in University City
