- Philadelphia's newest retail store “Champion” is located at 1507 Walnut Street, in Center City. The Champion brand name, a well-known manufacturer of sports teams' uniforms, has recently experienced a resurgence in past years as A-listers and influencers have come back to the fashionable nostalgic ware.
Champion Is Opening a Sportswear Store Philadelphia
The Center City store is going to have a serious Philly vibe featuring the cities past and present. Complete with collectible Temple, 76'ers and Eagles ware. Local artist, Alloyius and Philly native, painted a mural for the store which highlights Philly well known symbolic icons, for example, the cheesesteak and Liberty to name a few. Another hometown street artist Ishknits additionally created the Philadelphia skyline entirely from yarn.
Champion’s Philadelphia location signifies its 5th US opening just in the past year and comes as the legendary brand commemorates its 100th anniversary. The Philadelphia store is scheduled to open to the public Saturday, March 23.
