Japanese Style Tapas
Hatsu means "new beginnings" in Japanese, and like the menu, the interior design is clean, contemporary, as well as comfortable. Designer Jimi Nolan designed the 1,900-square-foot dining establishment with a Gotham gray tone and a small number of wood finishes. Kim describes the inside as modern-day farmhouse meets industrial chic, along with old tobacco flooring, walnut-top tables, together with Mid-Century walnut as well as black leather seating. The sushi bar features a HI-MACS countertop. The custom-manufactured Yoshimasa sushi case; the design was developed from ideas put together by Kim, Nolan, and Lott.
