Kismet Bagels Opens Brick & MortarPhiladelphia, PA - Alexandra and Jacob Cohen are bringing a new bagels shop to the Fishtown neighborhood. First reported by The Philadelphia Caller back in December. Kismet Bagels will bring Philadelphia a new taste sensation when it opens this spring: chewy, gourmet bagels. They will also offer bagels with a variety of toppings, including schmears. The Fishtown location will feature core flavors, unique seasonal variations, and McNamara sourdough loaves. In addition to bagels, the shop will also feature pastries.

The new shop will feature open-faced bagel sandwiches, bialy sandwiches, and housemade potato latkes. It will also serve drip coffee and fresh-squeezed orange juice. Kismet Bagels employs 20 people and produces 17,000 bagels and 500 pounds of cream cheese every week. In addition to bagels, they also offer various other items.

It will be open Wednesday through Sunday from 7 a.m. until sold out. The 540 square-foot storefront will serve takeout orders and offer a few seating options inside. Wholesale orders for bagels and schmears will also be available. There is currently a waiting list for bagel packs.
