- Opening Night Dinner at Marc Vetri's Fiore Rosso located at 915 Lancaster Ave in Bryn Mawr. Fiore Rosso means "red flower" in Italian. Realtors Dana Friedman and Kevin Waddy treated me to a sumptuous dinner. Kevin is so much fun - I love how he makes me laugh plus he is so knowledgeable about food. The evening was filled with delicious food and even better company.

I loved the renovation. It's one big room with soaring ceilings and moveable tables. The bar is the only thing in the same place, and even that has a fresh new look.
Good to see Brittney, formerly of Tredici, who is bartending at Fiore Rosso, and clearly, she knows how to make my Hat Lady drink. I was so happy to see Brittney. Carol and Damon Abraham were our servers and did an excellent job explaining the menu. Damon had waited on me before at Eddie V's and Flemings. It is always nice to be remembered.
Dana, Kevin, and I shared the warm Vetri salad with pancetta and egg. I truly enjoyed it. We also had prawns in a charred lemon sauce. They were also very good - I didn't try the head.
We enjoyed meeting Marc Vetri's partner, the affable and clearly smart Jeff Benjamin. I would enjoy having dinner with Jeff; he is clearly fascinating.
Another favorite dish was the potato tortelli with basil pesto and charred Romano beans. Triple yum.
The sommelier Nickolous also stopped by to introduce himself.
MaryBeth Heilman and her son Eamon Finn who is about to celebrate his 21st birthday, stopped by to chat. We also had the half chicken brodettato with a delicious lemony sauce and the supersized dry-aged Niman ranch ribeye. And we shared the chocolate cake with a vanilla-ish ice cream for dessert.
After dinner, we were out the door, and the Fiore Rosso manager James Spencer came outside to say hello/goodbye and show me a photo we took 4 years ago at Tredici.
