Announcement Imperial Inn Closed Its Doors After 45 Years in ChinatownThe long-standing restaurant was currently run by, second generation family members. However, the third generation was saidly not interest in running a restaurant business. Customer's and supporters lined up outside 146 N. 10th St. to say goodbye and get in their last taste of the Chinatown landmark.

With the restaurant sold, the new owner has plans to open a supermarket at the restaurant's present location. The closing joins a list of prominent Philadelphia restaurant closings this past year and will be missed.
