Melting Pot leaves Philadelphia for Maple Shade

PhillyBite.com (Oct 2, 2015) The Melting Pot in Downtown Philadelphia has closed for good, to relocating its fondue and chocolate restaurant to Maple Shade, NJ. The Melting Pot's Center City location opened in 2005 among a strip of stores (including a Chili's and Maggiano's) beneath a parking garage,Its new home will now be located at 584 Route 38 East in Maple Shade, NJ.

 

The chains (Philadelphia) Filbert Street location was temporarily closed, during Pope Francis recent visit, but stayed reopened for a few days before permanently closing the location on Wednesday. It had been in operation for 10 years, company officials said. Earlier this year the restaurant chain acquired the former Posh restaurant in maple shade, NJ. No word yet on who will take the location left vacant in Philly yet, across from the Convention Center Marriott.
