Philadelphia, PA - Amazon is expanding its business in Pennsylvania by opening a new Amazon Fresh store in Broomall, Pennsylvania. The new location will be near West Chester Pike (2924 Springfield Rd, Broomall, PA 19008) and offer customers a chance to shop fresh.
Amazon Fresh Opens Second PA Store
The store will feature Just Walk Out technology, allowing customers to skip the checkout line and simply walk out of the store after completing their purchases. Each item taken from the store is tracked and automatically added or removed from the customer's virtual cart. The Broomall Amazon Fresh store will be the second location in Pennsylvania and is the first to offer "Just Walk Out" checkout.
The store uses cameras to track shoppers' shopping selections, and artificial intelligence will charge their accounts as they walk out. The new location is at the Broomall Commons Shopping Center, next to Pet Smart and Planet Fitness.
The new Broomall store will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The company is planning to open another store in the area shortly. Currently, the company has one store in Pennsylvania: a store in Warrington. The Warrington location opened last August. Amazon is also planning to open a store in Bucks County.
