Action Wellness: Pennsylvania’s largest AIDS Service Organizations (formerly ActionAIDS) invites you to join 200 participating Philadelphia area restaurants for this year’s Dining Out For Life (DOFL).

Founded in Philadelphia in 1991, Dining Out For Life is now produced in 60 cities throughout the United States and Canada and raises over $4 million annually for HIV/AIDS services. Dining Out For Life: Philadelphia alone raised $200,000 in 2016.

Dining Out For Life makes giving to a great cause as easy as enjoying a good meal. Find your favorite participating restaurant, make a reservation for Thursday, April 20, and the restaurant will donate 33% of your food bill to Action Wellness and local AIDS service organizations.

DOFL’s Food Truck Pop Up also returns this year. Held from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM in the heart of the Philadelphia's Gayborhood on the 1300 block of Locust Street, this year’s food trucks include Waffles & Wedges Food Truck, Mama's Meatballs Food Truck, Cupcake Carnivale Food Truck, The Tot Cart, and more! The trucks will also donate 33% of their sales to Action Wellness.

This year, Action Wellness is excited to debut the first Makers Market at the Food Truck Pop Up. The Makers Market is a group of artisans who help supply DOFL restaurants with everything from locally roasted coffee to sweet ice cream made by Weckerly’s. ReAnimator Coffee, John and Kira’s, Manatawny Still Works, Soom Foods, and Birchrun Hills Farm Cheese will be selling their goods in the Makers Market area during the Food Truck Pop Up. You will also be able to find exclusive Dining Out For Life products from Weckerly’s, ReAnimator Coffee, and Yards Brewing Company in the month of April. Each company will be donating 33% of the sales from their DOFL flavor; stay tuned for the official release of these products.

More ways to give: Diners who make an additional donation of $25.00 or more will receive a 20% Off Tuesday card. This allows you to dine at any participating restaurant and receive 20% off your table’s food bill on Tuesday evenings from April 2017-April 2018. If you can not attend this year’s Dining Out For Life, you can still donate to this amazing cause by texting DINE to 50155.
