Lu & Aug's Opens it Doors in ArdmorePhiladelphia, PA - Lu & Aug's is a new ice cream parlor in Ardmore specializing in premium soft-serve ice cream, coffee, and affogatos. Located at 28 Rittenhouse Place, Ardmore, it will open its doors towards the end of April.  Ash & Pretha Kailath - a husband-and-wife team from Delaware County who created the shop alongside their two teenage kids - have opened it as part of their entrepreneurial ventures.

Lu & Aug's soft-serve ice cream menu features vegan options, coffee drinks and brownies, and Philly favorites like Famous 4th Street Cookies, Dottie's Donuts, and others. OX coffee is Queen Village's premium brand; it is harvested, processed, and roasted using sustainable, organic practices that adhere to ethical business standards.

Pretha said, "We wanted to create an experience that revolves around what we love: delicious and handcrafted coffee drinks - to help people disconnect from their daily grind." The combination of premium soft serve ice cream with excellent coffee is unique in Philly and surrounding areas - which is why we named our brand Lu & Aug's in honor of our children Laiyla (15) and Augustine (14), who has been with us from the start in this exciting new venture."

Lu & Aug's will also offer affogatos, an Italian coffee-based treat popular in Italy. This typically includes a scoop of ice cream and a shot of espresso. There will be about half a dozen flavors, such as Dirty Chai and Salted Caramel, and specialty flavors and seasonal options.

Ash said the dessert bar at our shop specializes in creating premium soft-serve ice cream choices that are unique and delicious, as well as offering more classic parlor flavors. Our menu is straightforward, but there's room for variety; try our handcrafted specialties such as Lancaster Cinnamon Stroopies, Matcha Madness, or Sunrise from California; Gingerbread Boi is also available. Our shop caters to coffee enthusiasts and ice cream connoisseurs, with something for everyone here!

This 1,200-square-foot business will offer indoor seating for 22 people and be open Monday through Saturday. They plan to open additional locations in the future.
