Philadelphia, PACinder Bar - A day of beer and cheesesteaks with Amigo Dan started Cinder Bar. There are two Cinder Bars. We went to the one in Clarksboro, New Jersey.

A Day of Cheesesteaks at Cinder Bar

Old farm roads, take me home, to the place I belong, Cinder Bar, New Jersey food and drinks, take me home, old farm roads.

Cinder Bar, John Denver’s estate may feel differently, but you can use that jingle as far as I am concerned.

I guess Cinder Bar is a modern-day Farmer’s Stand on the side of a country road and the anchor in a new strip mall. We went on December 30th, and there were COVID limits maxed out pretty much the whole time we were there.

It is big, bright, and open with a country rustic décor and all of the food looked amazing and, best of all, plenty of parking.

The menu was diverse and compacted; you could easily find three things you liked without going through the whole menu.   Which is a good thing because the menu was your placemat.

The good news is we really liked the Short Rib Cheesesteak sandwich. The bad news is we stayed too long, and I tried too hard to summon my inner John Cohl and combine menu items.

They have a French Onion Grilled Cheese Sandwich. I asked for the Short Rib meat on the French Onion grilled cheese. They said yes, and I lost a bet to Amigo Dan because they were busy, and I thought they wouldn’t have time to go off the menu.

The soup was well made and very good, but I should have stayed in my lane because it was very oniony.

We ordered the short rib cheesesteak, which was delicious and very tender and juicy. The caramelized onions added to the flavor, and the fontina cheese and truffle aioli were great complementary players.

The roll was not a traditional cheesesteak roll. Still, it was perfect for this cheesesteak, considering this was not a traditional cheesesteak. It was a little pricy and but came with french fries.
