Philadelphia, PA - Marilyn Rodriguez Producer and Host of the “Ahora Si Show” announces the Ahora Si 6th Anniversary with an extravagant Gala scheduled for Friday, February 3, 2017 from 8pm to 12pm. The event will take place at the Wanamaker Building in the Crystal Tea Ballroom, 100 Penn Square East, Philadelphia Pa.
The Ahora Si Show airs live on radio every Saturday from 6am to 8am on Mega 105.7FM. The guests on the show vary from entertainers, educators, physicians, lawyers, health care providers, to politicians just to name a few.
“My mission has been to empower the Latino community throughout the Delaware Valley. I do this by informing and introducing celebrities, actors, and singers to my listeners. I believe that sharing with the Ahora Si community issues that are relevant to them will help inform and empower them with knowledge. The theme for this year’s gala is “A night at the Enchanted Island”. The evening begins with top-notch professionals from the Tri state area networking and bringing to the forefront their businesses. The venue is setup so that the guests stroll through the vendor areas as if they were strolling in an enchanted island. The guests will enjoy the art display by “Taller Imagenes”, a performance by Tony Santana Cigar Rolling Company, “The Art of Cigar Rolling”, a live traditional cuatro performance by Gabriel Munoz (jibaro Culture music) and cultural plena dancers will inspire and deliver the island feel.
The evening will progress with a fashion show led by Coordinator Orlando Caquias, owner of “Sueno Designs” and for the first time in Philadelphia the exclusive line of “Como tu Abuelo Guayaberas” highlighting the beauty of our traditional culture with a mix of modern fashion. Community leaders from the tri-state area will take part in the fashion show by showcasing the two designers fashion pieces. Simply the Best Finley Catering Authentic Spanish cuisine will take you on an excursion.
The keynote speaker for the night will be a young artist and composer, Giselle Tavera. Giselle Tavera was nominated as the Tropical Artist of the Year in 2015 by “Premios Lo Nuestro”. She will be presented with an award for her accomplishments and being an excellent role model and inspiration to the up coming artists.
Well-known Salsa Band “Anthony Colon y Su Orquesta” will have you dancing the night away.
