Philadelphia's Most Recent Bar and Restaurant OpeningPhiladelphia, PA - From a strange combination of Tacos and Ramen to a famous NYC Hot Dog shop, Philadephia's experiencing a boom in new restaurants and food options after a year of closings, take=out ordering, and indoor restrictions.


 

Philadelphia's Most Recent Bar and Restaurant Opening

South Street just got a little more interesting with the addition of Taco & Ramen — Yes, you heard right. The name says it all Tacos and Ramen on the same menu. It is the latest craze to hit South Street, with the ultimate fusion of cultures combined for a one-of-a-kind experience.

A taste of Coney Island has opened in University City. Lawrence Mach and Michael Tang bring together Mexican and American street food and add a Southeast Asian twist. Their new fast-casual eatery and BYO at Hamilton Court on July 9th.

Coney Shack's journey to Philadelphia dates back to 2013 when Mach followed his life-long passion for food and purchased a street food cart that would become known as the number one ranked restaurant in all of Brooklyn in 2015. That same year, Coney Shack also earned Mach a hard-earned Vendy Award for Rookie of the Year.



Looking for Italian, check out Philly's newest restaurant Figo - 'A Taste of Figo' at Figo's pop-up restaurant! 'A Taste of Figo' is a unique look into what's to come for Figo's Grand Opening.

An elevated Italian restaurant and bar will pay homage to handmade cuisine, craft cocktails, and a curated wine list. Taking inspiration from our Italian namesake Figo "meaning cool in Italian," as such, the restaurant will encourage guests to slow down and unite the tradition of Italian dining with the social scene of Northern Liberties.



Ready to grab a cocktail or beer in Center City, check out Uptown Beer Garden, located at the plaza outside of Two Penn Center 1500 JFK.

The beer garden is open seven days a week; hours will run Monday to Friday from 4 p.m. to midnight, Saturday and Sunday from noon to midnight. The bar menu is extensive and includes cocktails, frozen cocktails, wine cocktails, and margaritas.

Finally, World of Wings (WOW), based in New Orleans' is heading north to Philadelphia to start a significant national expansion this summer. Ballard Brands teamed up with Philadelphia restauranteur Jose Garces for a new ghost kitchen operating out of The Olde Bar in the Old City District.

Philly's wing lovers can now enjoy WOW's menu of fresh wings, tenders, and classic American alongside the brand's signature sauces.
