Wilder Restaurant & Bar Opens in Philadelphia's Rittenhouse Square

The Rittenhouse location offers casual drinks at the bar to private event space and beautiful indoor and outdoor terrace areas. An excellent place for a night out with friends, The Wilder will offer guests a relaxed and welcoming environment for a memorable dinner or event.

Unlike many new restaurants in the city, Wilder is different from the norm. The restaurant's name is a nod to its dishes' bounty of fresh ingredients. The third floor is reserved for private events and is dedicated to dining. The restaurant is currently open Monday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with brunch and lunch service starting later this spring.

The menu will highlight peak season vegetables, fresh handmade plates of pasta, and a selection of savory main dishes. From the first floor's open pizza kitchen and crudo & raw bar, Truitt and team will turn out piping hot wood-fired pizzas and a daily list of fresh raw fish and oyster preparations, sliced to order.

The bar will feature wine, and beer (on draft, by the bottle, and by the glass), plus a creative set of cocktails and zero ABV drinks will be served. Click here for full menus.

The space is in an original carriage house and townhome combined into one sprawling 4500-square-foot dining establishment. Which was a former school for the Philadelphia Academy of Social Dance.

The dining room is unrestrained, one of the most appealing aspects of the dining experience. The first floor is a unique experience and features a large bar with comfortable seating. The second floor is an area where you can sit and enjoy the ambiance of a traditional restaurant. The third floor will be dedicated to the bar and feature a live DJ. The third floor can also be rented for private parties.

The name Wilder reflects the abundance of fresh ingredients featured on the menu. In addition, the restaurant's name represents the space's design and vision as a celebration of local culture and art.
