The school board authorized the 2019-2020 school schedule. Supporting the administration’s suggestion to start up the up and coming school year on Sept. 3, 2019, students came back this year on August 27 though temperatures had been incredibly hot and the heat wave led to some early dismissals.Although, the board rejected to vote on extending the decision to the 2020-21 calendar years. Wanting to investigate a few parent considerations.

School officials went with an August start this year merely because they sought to increase the instructional time before state exams in the spring, among various other factors. However, the change angered many parents, along with a sweltering late August as well as early September resulting in, several days of canceled classes mainly because of the hotter temperatures.
