Philadelphia, PA - StubHub has launched its 360° seat-mapping feature with VR capabilities, called virtual view, for fans headed to Philadelphia Flyers games at Wells Fargo Center this season, to make buying tickets for the best seats in the house even more dynamic and realistic.
StubHub’s Virtual view experience is one of the first practical use-cases that puts fans in the arena before they even purchase a ticket, giving them a glimpse into what their section will look like and enabling a more informed ticket purchase.
How it works: With StubHub’s new in-app feature, fans can access a 360° view of their seat by moving around their iOS/Android phone. For those with VR goggles (like Google Cardboard or Samsung Gear VR), users can insert the phone into their viewer for an immersive VR experience. Check out this video: (Wells Fargo Center)
Where Virtual view is available: In addition to Wells Fargo Center, the Virtual view experience is currently available for NHL games at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, United Center in Chicago, and TD Garden in Boston, with more hockey arenas announced shortly. In addition, Virtual View is also active for various MLB, NFL, NBA and college football venues around the country.
