Philadelphia, PA - After another ugly loss, this time at the hands of the Seattle Seahawks, the Eagles are looking for answers. The defense certainly hasn’t been the issue, they’ve had back-to-back very good performances and have helped keep the team in the game. It’s the offense that has really been a problem.
Eagles-Dolphins NFL Week 13
Carson Wentz continued to raise doubts after a two-interception performance and inaccuracies on some of his passes. In a game that was close throughout, it’s curious as to why Philly would’ve continued to force the passing game. The running game has been pretty good lately, and it could really help take some pressure off of Wentz.
The good news for the Eagles is that they have the easiest schedule down the stretch of any team this year. This includes two games against the Giants, a match with the Redskins, a contest versus the Dolphins, and a duel against the Cowboys. The latter will likely have major playoff implications for both teams. At 5-6, the Eagles are still in good shape to win the division. If they win out, then they clinch the division, and that seems like a likely scenario with how easy their final schedule is.
Beyond that, the Cowboys dropped one on Thanksgiving against the Bills, and they now have their own problems. With rumors of Jason Garrett being fired and all sorts of conflict, this could be the perfect storm for the Birds.
Next week’s opponent is the Miami Dolphins. Entering at 2-9, Miami has played better lately, but still have struggled overall. This should be an easy win for the Eagles, especially with how well the defense has played. It’s a golden chance for this team to build some confidence and hopefully start to correct this rocky start to the season. Final Score: Eagles, 28. Dolphins, 13.
