National Girlfriends DayPhiladelphia, PA - Today (August 1) is officially National Girlfriends Day. I got to spend time with Dana Friedman at a photo shoot at our charming new listing on Thursday (August 4) in Lansdowne for $300,000. We will have it open Sunday from 2 to 4.

National Girlfriends Day On The Main Line

After finishing up with the photographer, who was also making floor plans for our marketing, Dana and I were hungry. We decided to stop at Sutida Somboonsong and Pearl Murphy's restaurant Azie on Main in Villanova for lunch. Hostess Candy Edgerton greeted me by name, which impressed me because Dana had made the reservation under her name. Candy is so brilliant, personable, and uberly polite. Candy even stopped by to tell us that she was leaving for an appointment. Wow.

Derek King, the bartender, and our server are always on point. We started with the mushroom dumpling soup, which I had never had. It has truffle and honey-capped mushrooms. It is so good. I am going to have to come and get this again soon. We also had the Kobe beef we cooked on the hot rocks, which Dana and I cooked our own meat. We also had the crispy tempura shrimp with two dipping sauces. One is the spicy and flavorful sauce Gochujand and a milder aioli dipping sauce. I am more of a mild person.

I love my girlfriend's every day and today felt like it was extra special because I had not seen Dana in 3 weeks. What they say is true - absence can make the heart grow fonder.

The important thing about National Girlfriend's Day is to spend the day with a girlfriend, gossiping, and bonding.
