NEW JERSEY - Central Jersey meat-lovers, rejoice. Fogo de Chão, the internationally renowned Brazilian steakhouse, is officially expanding its New Jersey footprint. As part of an accelerated growth strategy across the Garden State, the upscale chain has signed a lease to open a massive new location at the Freehold Raceway Mall in Monmouth County.
Slated to occupy an expansive 8,000-square-foot space, the new restaurant will be prominently located in the mall's Outdoor Village near the Center Court entrance. The arrival of Fogo de Chão marks a major win for the Freehold Raceway Mall as the property continues its ongoing transformation from a traditional shopping center into a premier dining and entertainment destination.
The immersive dining experience centers around the traditional Southern Brazilian art of churrasco. Diners can expect a lively, upscale atmosphere featuring a 360-degree open grill where skilled Gaucho Chefs butcher, hand-carve, and roast high-quality cuts of meat over an open flame. In true Fogo de Chão fashion, the freshly grilled meats will be carved tableside in a continuous service format, complemented by a lavish Seasonal Market Table featuring charcuterie, exotic fruits, superfoods, and fresh salads.
While an official opening date has not yet been announced, the Freehold location will become the chain's fourth New Jersey outpost, joining existing restaurants in Paramus, Wayne, and Bridgewater.
