A Taste of Summer' Cocktail Contest Returns to PA and NJPHILADELPHIA - Get ready for a spirited summer-long celebration! The Union Forge Vodka has announced the launch of its 3rd annual “A Taste of Summer” campaign, a friendly competition challenging local bartenders to craft the ultimate summer cocktail. Kicking off on July 4th and running through Labor Day 2025, this event invites the public to taste, sip, and vote for their favorite creations at over thirty participating bars and restaurants across Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and South Jersey, all while supporting a fantastic cause.


Taste, Sip, and Vote for Your Favorite:

In partnership with the Philadelphia and Pittsburgh chapters of the United States Bartender’s Guild (USBG), the campaign puts the power in the hands of the people. Here's how it works:

  1. Visit one of the 30+ participating locations.

  2. Order their unique "Taste of Summer" cocktail made with Union Forge Vodka.

  3. Vote for your favorite online.



The competition is fierce, as one winning bartender from each market (Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and South Jersey) will receive a monetary prize and a custom Union Forge trophy.

Cocktails for a Cause: Supporting Children of Restaurant Employees (CORE)

Beyond the delicious drinks, the campaign has a charitable heart. For every vote cast by a consumer, Union Forge Vodka will donate $1 to CORE – Children of Restaurant Employees, a national non-profit dedicated to supporting food and beverage service employees with children when they are faced with a health crisis, injury, death, or natural disaster. The campaign aims to donate up to $5,000.

It’s a wonderful way to engage with consumers in the markets we serve each summer, and an opportunity to give back to a great cause,” said Adam Weinberg, Vice President of Marketing for The Union Forge Vodka. “As this campaign grows year over year, we are grateful to be able to partner with both returning and new bars and restaurants and continue to support a cause as amazing and deserving as CORE.”

A Look at the Lineup and Creative Cocktails:

A diverse lineup of popular establishments is participating. Some of the featured bars and their creative cocktails include:

  • In Philadelphia:

    • Kensington Pub: Serving the “Eagles Juice” (Union Forge Vodka, Melon, Pineapple, Blue Curacao).

    • Moriarty’s: Mixing up the “Hibiscus Lemonade” (Union Forge Vodka, Hibiscus Simple Syrup, Lemon).

    • Other participants include Punch Buggy Brewing Co. and Locust Rendezvous.

  • In Pittsburgh:

    • 1930 By Atria’s: Featuring the “Grape Popsicle” (Union Forge Vodka, Grape Juice, Lemon, Ginger).

    • Burgatory (all locations): Offering the “Black & Gold Penguins Passion” (Union Forge Vodka, Lemon, Passion Fruit, Vanilla, Blackberries, Club Soda).

    • The Yard (all locations): Serving the “Parnold Almer” (Union Forge Vodka, Peach Syrup, Freshly Brewed Tea & Lemon Juice).

    • Other participants include The Dog Penn.

  • In South Jersey:

    • Amendment 21 is among the participating locations.
