This initiative represents a substantial investment in Ohio, building upon the $815 million Walmart spent upgrading stores throughout the state in the past five years prior to 2025. The 23 remodels planned for this year demonstrate a continued commitment to Ohio communities and customers.

What Shoppers Can Expect: The "Store of the Future" Experience:

The renovations aim to create a more convenient, engaging, and modern shopping environment. Customers visiting the remodeled Ohio stores can anticipate features such as:



  • New Look and Feel: Updated interiors with big, bold signage for easier navigation and new displays to better showcase merchandise.
  • Expanded Selections: Increased product variety in expanded departments, offering more of what customers are looking for.
  • Enhanced Online Services: Expanded and improved areas dedicated to online pickup and delivery to better accommodate the growing number of digital orders.
  • Revamped Pharmacy: Significant upgrades including wider aisles, new private screening rooms for consultations and services, and dedicated privacy checkout areas.
  • Improved Layouts: Potentially more spacious layouts for easier movement throughout the store.

Locations Receiving Upgrades:

The 23 stores targeted for renovation span across Ohio. Some of the confirmed locations include:

  • Mahoning Valley: Boardman (Doral Drive) and East Liverpool (Dresden Ave) - with estimated completion in late July and early/mid-November respectively.
  • Northwest Ohio: Toledo (Glendale Ave), Perrysburg (Fremont Pike), Upper Sandusky (E. Wyandot Ave), Napoleon (Scott St), Wauseon.
  • Southwest Ohio: Franklin (E. 2nd St), Colerain Twp. (Colerain Ave), Lebanon (Walmart Drive), Hamilton (Main St), Amelia (E. Ohio Pike), Cincinnati area stores.
  • Central Ohio: Columbus (Bethel Road), Whitehall, Reynoldsburg (Taylor Road Ext.), Westerville (E. Schrock Road), Circleville (S. Court St), Marysville.
  • Eastern Ohio: Canton (Atlantic Blvd. NE), Marietta (Pike St), Zanesville.
  • Other Locations: Kenton (E. Columbus St).
