This round of renovations builds upon Walmart's substantial prior investments in Michigan, which totaled over $450 million in store upgrades during the past five years before 2025. The 2025 remodels underscore the company's commitment to the state, where it employs over 35,700 associates.

What Shoppers Can Expect: The "Store of the Future" Arrives:

Customers visiting the remodeled Michigan stores will encounter features designed to make shopping more convenient, engaging, and efficient:



  • New Look and Feel: Expect bigger, bolder signage for easier navigation, updated interiors, and new merchandise displays.
  • Expanded Selection: Departments will be expanded, offering a wider variety of items and reflecting customer preferences.
  • Enhanced Online Services: Improved and larger areas dedicated to online pickup and delivery to better handle the growing volume of digital orders.
  • Revamped Pharmacy: Pharmacy areas will be rethought, potentially including wider aisles, new private screening rooms for consultations and health services, and dedicated privacy checkout areas.
  • Improved Layouts: Stores will likely feature more spacious layouts for easier Browse and movement.

  • Paw Paw (1013 S KALAMAZOO ST)

(While no specific completion dates were given for each store, some work is expected to begin as early as May, with projects wrapping up throughout 2025).
