PHILADELPHIA, PA - Philadelphia is getting ready to host the world this summer, and one local hotspot is gearing up to be the city's premier watch party destination. Starting this Thursday, June 11th, Mamajuana Cafe Philly—located at 1000 Frankford Avenue in Fishtown—is going all in for the 2026 global soccer tournament, bringing an unparalleled Latin and global spirit to the beautiful game.
With a vibrant culture and a menu that bridges the Dominican Republic, Latin America, and the globe, Mamajuana Cafe is uniquely positioned to celebrate a tournament that unites 48 nations. From the opening kickoff through the grand finale on July 19th, the restaurant is transforming its space to deliver an upscale, affordable, and culturally rich experience for die-hard soccer fans, local regulars, and visiting tourists alike.
"Philadelphia hosting the biggest sporting event in the world is huge for our city," said Mamajuana Cafe Philly Co-Owner David Heredia. "Soccer connects people across borders, languages, and cultures—and that is exactly what we do every night at this restaurant. We are open to the entire world, and this summer, everyone is welcome here."
A Watch Party Experience Like No Other. What sets Mamajuana Cafe apart from standard sports bars this summer is its elevated, immersive approach to game day. The venue is hosting ten marquee big-screen watch parties, starting with the official tournament opener between Mexico and South Africa on June 11th.
Fans can expect much more than just a game on a screen. Watch parties will feature a brand-new outdoor patio with bar views, country-themed decorations, a roving live soccer mascot at every single match, and live entertainment ranging from Salsa bands to DJs.
For the most dedicated fans, Mamajuana Cafe is pursuing special licensing to stay open until 4:00 AM on select match days. They are also offering full private buyout packages for companies, sports teams, and groups looking to host exclusive events around early-morning or late-night kickoffs.
Exclusive Cocktails & Chef-Crafted Game-Day Bites. To fuel the celebrations, Mamajuana's culinary team is serving up a special game-day menu that puts a Latin spin on traditional sports bar fare, alongside elevated dishes for a more upscale experience. The menu will feature a diverse lineup, including tacos, burgers, wings, loaded nachos, "tournament sushi," calamari, and empanadas, and will finish with soccer-themed desserts.
The bar program is equally ambitious, featuring bespoke summer cocktails designed specifically for the tournament:
- The Golden Cup: The crown jewel of the menu. A bold, smoked Old Fashioned served tableside in a glowing, globe-shaped golden goblet.
- Taittinger Brut Réserve: As the Official Champagne of the 2026 tournament, Mamajuana is making victory pours accessible to everyone. Unlike other upscale venues, this bubbly will be available first-come, first-served to all tables—no fancy bottle service required.
- Les Bleus Spritz: A brilliant blue, French-inspired spritz made with cognac, elderflower, and sparkling wine.
- Samba Passion Caipirinha: A tropical spin on the Brazilian classic utilizing Cachaça 51 and fresh passion fruit.
- Golazo: A vibrant indigo gin cocktail with citrus and berry notes, perfect for game-day energy.
The Kickoff: Thursday, June 11th. The festivities officially launch this Thursday with the tournament opener. Doors open at 2:00 PM ahead of the 3:00 PM kickoff. Fans can enjoy a game-day happy hour from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the bar and patio, followed by a live Salsa band and after-party from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
Sunday Vibe Brunches. The global celebration will also take place on the weekends. Mamajuana is hosting four themed "Sunday Vibe Brunches" throughout the tournament (June 7, June 14, June 21, and June 28). These events will combine the energy of the games with the restaurant's signature conga lines, live DJs, and, on select dates, live Samba dancers.
Whether you are looking to catch your home country on the big screen, sip a smoked cocktail out of a golden globe, or dance to live Samba after a massive win, Mamajuana Cafe Philly is ready to welcome the world with open arms.
Mamajuana Cafe Philly is located at 1000 Frankford Avenue (at the intersection of Frankford Ave and Columbus Blvd). For reservations, event inquiries, and the full schedule of watch parties, visit mamajuanacafephilly.com or follow them on social media at @mamajuanacafephilly.
