Returning to LOVE Park, City Hall's Courtyard, and the North Broad Section from Thanksgiving Day (November 27) to Christmas Eve (December 24), with previews on November 22 and 23, 2025, the Christmas Village in Philadelphia, presented by Bank of America, is introducing a brand new, dazzling centerpiece. Get ready for an authentic 30-foot-tall German Christmas Pyramid that's destined to become Philadelphia's most photographed holiday landmark.

A New Icon for Instagram and Beyond:

For nearly two decades, Christmas Village has brought authentic German holiday magic to Philadelphia. This year, that magic reaches new heights – literally! The brand new, 30-foot-tall, authentic Christmas Pyramid will stand proudly in the middle of LOVE Park's Oval section, inspired by the traditional wooden pyramids from Germany's Ore Mountains. Adorned with 3,000 sparkling lights and a turning Christmas tower, this multi-level structure features traditional German figures alongside special Philly touches, promising to reshape the iconic sightlines of LOVE Park with City Hall as its backdrop.

"This year will be especially memorable as we debut our new traditional German Christmas Pyramid," shared Christmas Village President Thomas Bauer. "It is a project we have been working on for many years, and we can't wait to see it take over everyone's social media feeds."

Twinkling Lights, Beloved Rides, and Holiday Photo Ops:

The towering Pyramid will join other cherished visual delights, including the magnificent 65-foot-tall illuminated Ferris Wheel and the historic double-tier Christmas Village Carousel. Tens of thousands of twinkling lights will weave through the wooden vendor booths, creating an enchanting glow perfect for holiday photos.

Families can also look forward to the return of the Kids Train presented by SEPTA and a record-breaking two dozen beautifully decorated trees at the Festival of Trees fundraiser, benefiting the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Santa Claus himself will be nestled among the trees, ready for wish-taking and heartwarming photo opportunities, making the Welcome Center a festive hub.

Celebrate the Illumination:

Don't miss the chance to be part of history! The new Pyramid will officially light up during the Christkind Arrival and Pyramid Lighting Ceremony on Sunday, November 30, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Join the authentic Christkind from Nuremberg, Germany, as she delivers her traditional prologue, followed by a festive countdown to the grand illumination of the new centerpiece. It's an event set to mark the official start of the holiday season in truly spectacular fashion.

This year, Christmas Village in Philadelphia isn't just returning; it's elevating the holiday experience with a breathtaking new landmark. The 30-foot German Christmas Pyramid is poised to become an instant classic, offering dazzling visuals and an authentic touch of German tradition that will captivate visitors and fill social media feeds with festive cheer. Come witness the transformation of LOVE Park and make unforgettable holiday memories!
