PENNSYLVANIA - Philadelphia's spine-chilling secret is out, and it's more sinister than ever. Lincoln Mill Haunted House, Manayunk's premier destination for frights, is returning for its fourth season with a promise to deliver its most intense and immersive horror experience yet. Descend into the depths of the historic mill from September 26 to November 2, 2025, and prepare to face a nightmare meticulously crafted with new rooms, horrifying characters, and a chilling story that blurs the line between local history and terrifying folklore.
An Evolution of Fear: New Rooms, New Characters, Enhanced Terror
Co-Founder Jared Bilsak states their goal was "simple - go bigger, darker and more terrifying." This year, they've pulled out all the stops. Visitors will navigate three brand-new rooms designed to disorient and terrify, complemented by all-new entry and exit sequences that immediately plunge you into, and then ominously release you from, the mill's tormented embrace. Dozens of new horrifying characters will stalk the shadows, ready to amplify the fear alongside the 40+ live scare-actors, production-quality sets, animatronics, and special effects that fans have come to expect.
"We added more twists and turns, and more terror," Bilsak explained. "Each year we want the fear to evolve and our vision is to always deliver something new with our haunts. Entering our fourth year here at the historic textile mill, we don't just aim to create fear here. We aim to co-exist with it."
A Haunted Narrative Rooted in History and Folklore:
What truly sets Lincoln Mill apart from many other attractions is its deeply immersive, story-driven approach. Unlike random jump scares, Lincoln Mill unfolds like a living horror story, scene by scene. The narrative is chillingly inspired by the real 2021 Hurricane Ida flood that devastated the building, blending this factual event with original folklore centered around a 1930s textile mill. Every character, setting, and scare ties back to this unique, exclusive world, creating an experience unlike anything else in the haunted attraction scene.
And for those who wonder if the scares are just good acting? The 1860s mill itself carries a long and storied past. Co-founder Bilsak notes that after unsettling occurrences during construction – animatronic sensors triggering inexplicably, props shifting, unexplained cold spots – paranormal investigators confirmed a "very real and active presence" within the Lincoln Mill.
Beyond the Screams: Documenting the Horror
