Philadelphia, PA - Starting on Monday, January 16, the Phillies are #BackInTown to take part in a fan-fueled week of events. Among those taking part are players Maikel Franco, Tommy Joseph, Aaron Nola and Roman Quinn, as well as manager Pete Mackanin and other special guests including the Phillie Phanatic and Phillies broadcasters.Philadelphia, PA - Starting on Monday, January 16, the Phillies are #BackInTown to take part in a fan-fueled week of events. This annual offseason visit to the Delaware Valley takes place with less than one month until pitchers and catchers report for Spring Training in Clearwater, Fla.

            MLK Day of Service Events:



  • 22nd Annual Greater Philadelphia Martin Luther King Day of Service; 9 a.m., Girard College, 2101 S. College Avenue, Philadelphia, Pa. The Phillie Phanatic will join an expected 140,000 volunteers to help out on service projects throughout the region, organized by Global Citizen. One of these service projects will take place at the Francis J. Myers Recreation Center, 5801 Kingsessing Ave., Philadelphia, Pa. at 10 a.m. Volunteers from the Phillies Front Office, along with local community leaders, will help to build flower boxes and benches for the center.
  • MLK Weekend Celebration Sponsored by Citizens Bank: Photos with Roman Quinn; Plus Phillie Phanatic! 10:30 a.m., African American Museum, 701 Arch Street, Philadelphia, Pa. Phillies outfielder Roman Quinn and the Phillie Phanatic will be at the African American Museum in Philadelphia to take part in MLK Day activities.   • Roman Quinn and Phillie Phanatic to Pitch-In at MLK UYA Baseball Clinic with Chevy and Phillies RBI; Plus, Chevy Check Presentation; 12 p.m., Phillies MLB Urban Youth Academy Indoor Training Center, located at the Marian Anderson Recreation Center, 740 South 17th Street, Philadelphia, Pa. Phillies Jr. RBI players will be treated to a free baseball clinic with outfielder Roman Quinn and special appearance by the Phillie Phanatic! This is the first major league player-taught clinic at the new indoor training center. Chevy will also be presenting a $25,000 check to the UYA that will go directly to help with students' college costs. Chevy's funding for these UYA scholarships was made possible through CBS EcoMedia's EducationAd program.
  • Williamsport Crosscutters 2017 Hot Stove Banquet with the Phillies, Media Session: 5 p.m., Banquet: 6 p.m., Grand Ballroom of the Genetti Hotel, Williamsport, Pa. The Phillie Phanatic, with help from the Phillies Ballgirls, will act out one of the books from the Phillie Phanatic book series during this interactive visit filled with lots of excited, enthusiastic kids.
