Citizens Bank Park is located in South Philly right off of I95, it capacity holds 40,000 sports fans during home games, but also hosts a number of concerts and local events. Below are a few insider tips to visiting the park.

  1. Finding tickets for a Phillies game can be hard at times to find, but going on StubHub at least few hours before the game starts is a great way to score tickets for any upcoming games on the cheep
  2. Purchase seats out in the right-center field—Sections/Levels 201 and 301 of the stadium are on top of the visitor's bullpen, where you can heckle opposing teams during the game.
  3. The Phillies send photographers out during the 7th inning stretch taking photographs of fans for VisitPhilly.com's Facebook page.
  4. Considering the infamous reputation Phillies fans enjoy you might think finding beers at the stadium would be hard to do. But, there are plenty of bars inside the ballpark such as the McFadden's Bar & Restaurant & Saloon and High & Inside Pub, Harry the K's Bar & Grille, located below the left field scoreboard.
  5. Before heading out to the ballpark, keep in mind there are certain items your NOT permitted to bring in: alcoholic, glass bottles, cans, thermoses, hard-sided and styrofoam coolers and open containers.
  6. Try getting to the ballpark a little early to get a good parking spot and grab something to eat before lines get too long. Also, don't miss out on some of the stadium's notorious food before the game.
  7. If the Phillies are winning, you will see the Liberty Bell "ring" and "light up" for every home run and if the game is won.
  8. Philadelphia fans are passionate, to say the least about their sports teams and even though Philadelphia fans one time booed Santa Claus during an Eagles game, Phillies fan tend to be somewhat tame, even during playoff fever.
  9. Exposed bullpens are located in right-center field, allowing fans a close up of players from both teams.
  10. Finally, you have no excuse to go hungry at the stadium. Ashburn Alley has some good food and plenty of Philadelphia specialty eats.
