On the west side of the Schuylkill River, this new, 1.1-mile extension of the Schuylkill Banks trail passes through Bartram’s Garden, the country’s oldest botanical garden, once frequented by John Bartram’s buddy Benjamin Franklin. While walkers, runners and bikers ponder the 18th-century bromance, they can snap heart-worthy Instagram pics of the Philly skyline from the 56th Street access point. Opens April 22, 2017.
