One of the best ways to experience the Rocky phenomenon is a visit to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The 72 steps that Rocky used to finish his workout, fist-pumping at the top, has been a favorite iconic picture destination for travelers from all over the world.

The city has undergone some major rejuvenation projects in recent years, and the Delaware River waterfront has been transformed. Once a rundown and neglected area, the waterfront now boasts trendy cafes, gorgeous public parks, and even a casino complex. During the summer months, the area can get quite busy but still retains a relaxed atmosphere that all the family can enjoy.

Taking a relaxing day and enjoying the waterfront is something every first-time visitor to Philadelphia in between visiting the many historical sites the city has to offer.

Reading Terminal Market The Best Food In Philly

After a busy morning of exploring the many sites the city has to offer, a lunch break is just what is needed. The Reading Terminal Market has something to suit anybody’s tastes. One of the country's oldest active farmer's markets is not just for tourists. The market is also extremely popular, with locals looking to purchase fresh seafood, vegetables, and meats. Restaurants are in abundance and are reasonably priced for the area. Philadelphia is the home of the world-famous cheesesteak. Still, a less known and absolutely delicious alternative is served in the market, the hot roast pork sandwich, something all visitors and non-vegetarians should not miss out on.

Market vendors also sell jewelry, household ware, and a wealth of handmade linen products. The market is now open, but proof of vaccination is required to dine inside.
