Date Night CheesesteaksPhiladelphia, PA - While the Philadelphia food scene is much more than just cheesesteaks, it seems to be what we’re known for. So, what would be better than a Philadelphia Date Night with cheesesteaks?

The Top Five Date Night Cheesesteaks in the Philadelphia Area

DiFabio's Market & Tap

At DiFabio's, you and your date can sit outside, inside the dining room, or in the bar area. I got the Cheesesteak with fried onions and mushrooms. This Cheesesteak lived up to my expectations. $10.95 wasn't a shock but paying $0.50 for the fried onions was a little disappointing. A good amount of delicious, tender, juicy meat. A perfect amount of cheese.

The cheese was melted nicely, but I will be a little nitpicky and wish the cheese was melted a tiny bit better. It came with nice thick slices of mushrooms and big chunks of fried onions. They were delicious. I nitpicked at the cheese, so I'll leave the fried onions or mushrooms alone. The roll, the roll was the weak link. The roll was standard, and this Cheesesteak and person making it deserve better. 1243 N Providence Rd, Media, PA.

The Wrap Shack

This is your fun date spot—the worst name of a bar in the history of naming things. I may be old, narrow-minded, and afraid of new things, but I envisioned a salad version of Chipotle when I heard Wrap Shack. I was so happy to find out that Wrap Shack is a bar. A bar with a delicious cheesesteak. A bar with an even better Philly jalapeno cheesesteak. A Bar with an excellent staff.

I ordered and paid for the regular Cheesesteak, so that's the only one I can really review. It was darn good. I did have two concerns, 1. it needed more cheese, and it needed to be melted through the meat better. 2, the meat was a bit dry. If I were to review the Philly Jalapeno, I would say it answered my two concerns with the original Cheesesteak. I clearly see why they sell five times more Philly jalapenos than the regular Cheesesteak. Overall and Cheesesteak great experiences. 112 S 11th St, Philadelphia, PA.

Shank's Original

Your date is going to love eating alongside the Delaware River. Most people need a special occasion to have waterfront dining. You and your date can be out taking a walk on a beautiful summer's day; order from the take-out at Shank's Original, and BOOM, you are waterfront dining. I would never suggest nor do it because it is illegal.

But, if you have an adult beverage in your travel coffee cup. Sunny day, delicious Cheesesteak, Delaware River, and that special someone. It's a beautiful thing. 901 S Christopher Columbus Blvd, Philadelphia, PA

Rook Manayunk

The Rook Manayunk does have a bar area, but this would be my idea of a perfect date cheesesteak place. The Cheesesteak was delicious but very hard to score. It comes on a Sarcone's seeded roll. This is probably the best Sarcone's roll I ever had. The meat is fabulous. It had a perfect amount of cheese, and they melted it through everything. The fried onions and mushrooms were heavenly. However, it was small. The end of the Cheesesteak I ate did not have a lot of meat. Did I pick the wrong half of the Cheesesteak? If it needed more meat, then it would have required more cheese. Very hard to score. $13, and it came with delicious french fries. We paid the extra $1.50 for the long hots. They were not very hot. $13 could be considered cheap for a nice place like the Rook Manayunk and excellent ingredients. 4001 Cresson St, Philadelphia, PA.

Yardley Inn

This is your 'I have class and sophistication' date place. Perfect for a day of entertaining potential future in-laws. After a day at Washington Crossing or antiquing in New Hope. Go to Yardley Inn; they can enjoy the small plate stuff while you want a big cheesesteak. It's $16, but it does come with fries, and you're in a lovely place, and it has a lot of excellent well-seasoned meat. I would be tempted to eat it open-faced. Andy and his friends were very welcoming. Friendly, chatty people at the bar. It is hard for me to think of myself being in love with this Cheesesteak, but I think I'm in love with this Cheesesteak. 82 E Afton Ave, Yardley, PA
