A Dog-Friendly Gem in Manayunk, PhillyPENNYLVANIA - I found a new favorite spot right on Main Street in Manayunk: Fat Lady Brewing. My only regret is that this place wasn't around a million years ago when I was young, handsome, and making a lot of money. It’s exactly the kind of Philadelphia brewery I love to spend an afternoon in.

One of the best parts? I had my granddogs, Elbert and Sally, with me, and they were welcomed with open arms. It’s fantastic to find a dog-friendly brewery in Philly that welcomes pups both inside their cool space and out on their patio. The vibe is incredibly relaxed and welcoming. While they share their building with a taco place, Fat Lady is definitely outside-food friendly, which is a huge plus.

The staff was top-notch. The bartender had a great look, and the young man working with her was friendly and professional from the moment I walked in. You can tell they care about what they do.

What really impressed me was how "beer community-friendly" they are. They had 7 of their own craft beers on tap, but also 5 guest taps, which shows a real love for the whole Philly beer scene. I ordered one of their house brews with a fun name, "Carnival Lights," and it was fantastic—just a ton of flavor.

Count me in as a big Fat Lady fan. It's a great space with great beer and great people right in Manayunk. I'll definitely be back soon, with Elbert and Sally in tow. Highly recommend checking them out.
