Philadelphia Brewing Company is partnering with Pinups for Pitbulls, Inc. and The PA Liberty Belles for Pinups & Pints, a classic car show and pinup contest, on Sunday, September 22 from 12 to 4 pm.
The PA Liberty Belles for Pinups & Pints
Retro style-lovers are encouraged to don their best pinup attire while vintage car owners show off their pre-1972 classic cars during this one-of-a-kind charity event. Attendees will drink for a cause as $1 from every Philadelphia Brewing Co. pint sold will be donated to Pinups for Pitbulls, a non-profit dedicated to educating people about the history, temperament, and plight of the pit bull-type dog.
“As longtime supporters of local animal shelters and rescues, we are thrilled to host this unique and nostalgic charity event,” said Nancy Barton, Co-Owner of Philadelphia Brewing Co. “We look forward to traveling back in time with the pinup girls and vintage cars in support of adorable, adoptable dogs!”
The pinup contest will be emceed by Judi Justice, president of The PA Liberty Belles, a volunteer, and charity-focused pinup club. Contestants will be judged on style, answers to questions and crowd enthusiasm, by a panel comprised of The PA Liberty Belles, Bill and Nancy Barton of Philadelphia Brewing Co. and a few local celebrities. The winner will be crowned “Miss Hops.”
While admiring classic cars, guests can enjoy handmade vegan tamales from a local chef, Jen Zavala, fresh Philly cheesesteaks from Joe’s Steaks + Soda Shop, and refreshing ice cream from Big Top’s Surfin’ Sundaes ice cream truck. For furry friends, the Clean Plate Club food truck and Ham + Bone will be offering treats to guests who bring their pups.
Pinups & Pints is a family-friendly event, and well-behaved, leashed dogs will be permitted in the beer garden.
