Delaware's Favorite Cheesecake Found in NewarkNewark, DE – Bing's Bakery has been serving up their delicious desserts since 1871, making them the oldest Bakery in the First State. The Bakery was originally called Fader's Bakery. It was founded by Gotleib Fader who delivered baked goods in a horse-drawn wagon and sold them from their home storefront.

In 1946, Russell and Selena Bing purchased the Bakery and changed the name to Bing's. In 2005, head baker Tom Guzzi and his wife Carla purchased Bing's Bakery, which continues to produce quality baked goods today. But, Delaware isn't the only state that can claim a favorite cheesecake spot. Our neighboring states of Pennsylvania, Maryland, and New Jersey also have favorites, including The Cheesecake Lady in Elkins Park (PA), Yhanne's House of Cheesecakes in Clayton (NJ), and Rosenfeld's Jewish Delicatessen in Ocean City (MD).

So make sure you mark your calendars for Saturday, July 30 - National Cheesecake Day - and treat yourself to a slice of Delaware's favorite cheesecake from Bing's Bakery!
