Royal Boucherie Old Fashioned BarPhiladelphia, PA  – On the heels of the highly successful, hyper-seasonal Spritzer Bar, Royal Boucherie, Old City’s atmospheric and lively neighborhood restaurant and bar, is switching gears for fall and winter with an all-new, create-your-own Old Fashioned Bar. Imbibers and cocktail enthusiasts can now select from an extensive assortment of spirits, bitters, and sweeteners to craft their picture-perfect classic cocktail tailored to each individual’s palate and preference.

Royal Boucherie Old Fashioned Bar

The new Old Fashioned Bar is the brainchild of recently-appointed Bar Manager Eden Beschen. Beschen designed the personalized menu format to allow guests to explore various flavor profiles to create one’s ideal Old Fashioned. In a creative, unique take on cocktail creation – guests can select one Base Spirit (Step One), followed by choice of Bitters (Step Two), and finalized with the addition of Sweetener (Step Three), all stemmed from items expertly curated by Beschen. Pricing varies depending on chosen spirit but can range from $15 to $25.

“It’s been a blast curating the Old Fashioned Bar menu as it’s allowed me to highlight spirits and distilleries that I love but people may not be familiar with,” remarked Beschen. “We’re looking forward to constantly elevating and evolving our beverage program to incorporate fun and interactive experiences for our guests while encouraging them to discover new flavors and try combinations that may have never crossed their minds.”

HOW IT WORKS:

  • Step One: Choose a Base Spirit, including Bourbon, Rye, Agave, R[h]um, Scotch, and Gin. Options include (but are not limited to) Angel’s Envy, Michter’s, Dad’s Hat, Derrumbes Mezcal, Cascahuin, La Gritona Reposado, Mi Casa Añejo, Rhum JM, Bluecoat Barrel Finished, and Saint Luna Moonshine.
