Neptune - New Jersey's fast-food scene is getting a major dose of Southern comfort this fall. Bojangles, the North Carolina-born giant famous for its Cajun-spiced fried chicken, scratch-made biscuits, and legendary sweet tea, is aggressively expanding its footprint in the Garden State. The highly anticipated chain is currently preparing to open a new coastal outpost on Route 35 in Neptune, with a projected opening date between late September and mid-October 2026.
The Neptune location will mark another milestone in the brand's rapid Northeast expansion, joining recently opened restaurants in Piscataway, Vineland, and Marlboro. For Jersey Shore residents, this means no longer having to travel far to get a fix of their signature chicken sandwiches, Bo-Berry Biscuits, and classic Southern "fixins" like dirty rice and macaroni and cheese.
The excitement won't stop in Monmouth County, either. Looking ahead, the fried chicken giant has already slated another Ocean County location to open in Brick (at the corner of Route 88 and Jack Martin Boulevard) in early 2027. As legacy burger chains consolidate, specialized fast-casual chicken concepts like Bojangles continue to eagerly scoop up prime real estate along New Jersey's major retail corridors.
