Philadelphia, PA - PhillyBite Green Machine FuelFuel is giving Eagles fans a new way to support their hometown team and give back to the community. Philadelphia Eagles’ Offensive Tackle Lane Johnson has partnered with Fuel Owner Rocco Cima on an exclusive smoothie to benefit one of Johnson’s favorite local charity.

Between now and Super Bowl Sunday, Fuel locations in Center City, University City and East Passyunk will offer Lane’s Green Machine Smoothie. Two dollars from every purchase will go directly to Johnson’s favorite charity, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. If the Eagles win, Fuel will reward Eagles fans with a free small smoothie on Monday, February 5, 2018, from 11:00am to 1:00pm with no purchase required. “We are thrilled to partner with Lane Johnson during this red hot season for the Philadelphia Eagles,” said Fuel owner Rocco Cima. “Lane worked with his first hand to develop a smoothie he himself loves to have. Through the process we are proud to support our community and his favorite charity. Between now and the Super Bowl we are doubling our donation to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia - with two dollars from every smoothie going right to them. Our philosophy is that we should give back as much as we can. Supporting worthwhile charities makes our hard work each day even more worth it - thanks to Lane for this opportunity and for being an honorary member of the Fuel family!”

Lane’s Green Machine Smoothie is on sale now and features Kale, Spinach, Pineapple, Honey and Banana. Each retails for $4.19 to $6.19 each. The idea came up for the smoothie as Johnson is a regular guest of Fuel. He wanted to create the ultimate pick-me-up smoothie for his fans and customers, using all his favorite ingredients that give him a boost on and off the field.

“This smoothie is special to me because it contains all of my favorite flavors and ingredients AND is Eagles’ green,” said Johnson. “I always want to help the local brands and companies succeed since they get overshadowed by the National corporate ones. It also helps that FUEL is on my weekly (and sometimes daily) schedule! This partnership lets me give back to one of my favorite local charities CHOP. I have always loved kids and wanted to help out for those less fortunate, ill, or in need.”

This exclusive smoothie is extended on the menu until at least the week after the Super Bowl. If the Eagles win the Super Bowl, Fuel will give away free small Lane’s Green Machine Smoothies the day after the Super Bowl from 11:00am to 1:00pm at all locations with no purchase required.

Fuel is located in University City at 3200 Chestnut Street, on East Passyunk in South Philly at 1917 East Passyunk Avenue, and in Center City in Midtown Village at 1225 Walnut Street.

“By partnering with Lane Johnson and supporting a local charity, everyone scores with these new smoothies! Let’s rally together, help CHOP and show the country how high the Eagles can fly,” added Cima.
