Devon Horse ShowPhiladelphia, PA - Devon Horse Show Opening Day!! It has been 3 years since my last horse show. Pulling into the Devon parking lot, I was welcomed by Jerry McTear. I felt like he rolled out the red carpet. Thank you, Jerry.

Opening Day At The Devon Horse Show

After dropping my stuff off in my box,. I went to the tea cart to buy tea sandwiches. You now have to purchase tea sandwiches with the same 4 quarters, whereas before, you could mix and match.

Unfortunately, the tea cart no longer sells bags of ice! Eek!! On my way, In search of ice, I met Frank Orman, owner of Reading Coffee Company, and Nick Carlino. They were both so sweet and made me feel like a celebrity. Thank you.

This year Carlino's has a booth, and us doing good for the Boxholders. The wine booth sold me ice. To make it easy for them, I bought the 40-pound bag of ice, which was too heavy to carry. It was so heavy. I was grateful that 2 ladies from the wine booth carried the ice up to my booth. Starting Monday, Tory Colvin from Florida who will be riding next week, helped me put a 40-pound bag in my cooler. Thank you all.

Fun hanging out with Casey Valerie and their Sweet Mom plus her adorable kids. I really enjoyed spending quality time with them. Life is magical thru kids' eyes.

A woman from Bermuda helped me up the steps with my second cooler. Her son rode today and will ride tomorrow. People are so kind.

Tonight is The Dog Show at the Horse Show. The Show includes a fun exhibition and 4 classes: Walk-Trot with Me Class, Jumpers Class, a Tricks Class, and a Lead Line Class think Costume Parade.
