PHILADELPHIA - If there is one thing Philadelphia knows how to do, it is drink good beer and watch sports. As the city gears up to host the world this summer, Yards Brewing Company is transforming its massive Spring Garden footprint into the city's unofficial soccer headquarters.
Starting this Thursday, June 11, the iconic Northern Liberties taproom is going all-in for the 2026 tournament. The giant beer hall has already been decked out for the occasion, with flags from participating nations strung from the ceiling. They've primed the big screens, turned up the sound, and are ready to pour pints for fans from down the street and across the globe.
"Philadelphia is one of the great sports cities in the world, and we're excited to welcome soccer fans from across the globe during the World Cup," says Tom Kehoe, Founder of Yards Brewing Company. "Whether you're cheering for Team USA, your home country, or just looking for a great place to watch the matches, Yards is ready to be part of the celebration. Great beer has always brought people together, and that's exactly what the World Cup is all about."
Game-Day Pints and Pub Grub
To keep fans fueled through a month of high-stakes soccer, Yards is rolling out a specialized menu of tournament-themed drinks and North American-inspired food specials, including poutine, tostadas, and apple pie.
If you are looking for something to drink, the brewery is dropping an exclusive beer for the tournament, alongside a few other game-day specials:
- The Equalizer: A brand new 4.7% Keller Helles Lager brewed specifically for the tournament. Unfiltered, naturally hazy, and crisp, it's an easy-drinking German-style lager built to last through 90 minutes of drama and stoppage time.
- Team BLU.S.A.: A frozen cocktail blending vodka, blue raspberry, and lemon, crafted as a colorful tribute to American soccer supporters.
- $5 Philly Pale Ales: Yards is pouring their flagship Pale Ale for just five bucks a pint during the matches.
The American Outlaws Jersey & Giveaways
For the die-hard U.S. supporters, Yards has teamed up with the American Outlaws Philadelphia Chapter 19 and Top Tomato Bar to release a limited-edition 2026 World Cup Philly jersey. The back features the "AO Philly" branding and the number 19, representing the local chapter. Quantities are strictly limited, and you can only grab one in person at the Yards taproom or Top Tomato Bar.
If you show up to watch the U.S. Men's National Team, you might walk away with more than just a buzz. For every Team USA match, Yards is handing out complimentary raffle tickets to attendees (no purchase necessary). Prizes include a 40-inch television and Yards gift cards.

The Match Schedule & Late Hours
Yards is hosting watch parties for over 16 marquee group-stage matches, featuring heavyweights like Argentina, Belgium, England, France, Mexico, and Spain.
Because the tournament spans multiple time zones, Yards is adjusting its hours to accommodate the action. The taproom will remain open until at least 11:00 PM nightly. If a match kicks off at 10:00 PM or earlier, the doors will stay open through the final whistle. (Only a handful of late-night matches with 11:00 PM kickoffs won't be shown.
