PHILADELPHIA — Main Street Manayunk is preparing to transform into the ultimate creative destination as the 37th Annual Manayunk Arts Festival returns on June 27 and 28, 2026. Organized by the Manayunk Development Corporation, this highly anticipated event proudly retains its title as the largest outdoor juried arts festival in Pennsylvania and the entire tri-state area.

With over 100,000 collectors, buyers, and casual browsers expected to attend, the free, rain-or-shine festival will feature approximately 300 local and nationally recognized artists spanning eight disciplines: fiber, glass, ceramics, jewelry, mixed media, painting and drawing, photography, and wood and sculpture.

As Philadelphia gears up to celebrate the nation’s 250th anniversary in 2026, the festival is joining the milestone festivities. Over 50 Main Street businesses will be flying commemorative 250 Flags throughout the summer to highlight the creativity, culture, and community that define the region.

A Fresh Vibe and Emerging Talent

While the Manayunk Arts Festival has been a local staple since 1990, organizers are embracing a fresh, contemporary energy aimed at younger audiences this year.

A major highlight is the Emerging Artist Program, which gives up-and-coming talent a platform to show and sell their work. This year, Grape Street—located just off Main Street—will be entirely closed to traffic to create a dedicated showcase for 30 emerging artists.

Festivalgoers can also explore quirky, interactive pop-up experiences, including:

  • The Funk Shop by Lucky’s Last Chance: Located at 4421 Main Street, this vibrant pop-up will feature a curated collection from independent local artists like Pink Bike Ralph, Jay McQuirns, and Medusa Raptor.

  • BabyFace Studio: Local ceramicists will host wheel-throwing demonstrations and a dedicated kids' wheel. The studio is also inviting the community to help paint a large, handmade vessel that will be permanently displayed in their windows.

  • Be Your Own Artist: Located in Canal View Park, local artist Aaron Birk will guide attendees of all ages in creating their own artwork in a shaded, interactive creative space.

The 2026 Featured Artist: Ryanne Bonde

Each year, the festival selects one artist to represent the event across its billboards, posters, and digital campaigns. The 2026 Featured Artist is Manayunk local Ryanne Bonde.

Bonde is a figurative oil painter, portraitist, and school psychologist whose work often explores the complexity of human emotion and the experiences of living with disabilities. The painting selected for this year’s promotional materials was recently purchased by a close friend of the legendary Jamie Wyeth, cementing Bonde's rising status in the regional art scene.

Live Art Activations: Carrera’s "Paint My Ride" Tour

Adding a high-speed, competitive edge to the weekend is the Carrera Paint My Ride Tour. Celebrating Carrera's 70th anniversary, this live activation will see two acclaimed Philadelphia artists—Jenna Morello and Alloyius McIlwaine—go head-to-head to transform a vintage Carrera car into a unique piece of art in real-time. The crowd will decide the winner on-site, with the local champion advancing to a national vote.
