PHILADELPHIA, PA — A popular monthly community gathering is set to transform the Philadelphia Navy Yard into a lively, open-air destination this week. Ensemble and the Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC) have announced the launch of "Third Thursdays," a family-friendly event series sponsored by Ensemble, with the next installment taking place on Thursday, June 18, 2026.
From 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, the event will take over Chapel Plaza, a 35,000-square-foot public gathering space located at 1200 Normandy Place, right adjacent to the newly opened luxury apartments at AVE Navy Yard. Running monthly through October, the rain-or-shine series is designed to give residents, employees, and visitors a casual, community-driven way to experience the neighborhood.
Food, Shopping, and Entertainment
Attendees can look forward to a rotating lineup of local food vendors and artisan merchants. June's culinary offerings include bites from:
- Beck's Cajun Café
- Poundcake Heaven
- Put an egg
In addition to the food, visitors can browse and shop for unique goods from a diverse group of local small businesses and makers. This month's featured merchants include South Fellini, 215 Plant N Things, Agency Fragrance, Ah House of Creations, Art by Alicia, Braze Jewelry, Chu Homemade Blessings, Cute & Sassy Accessories, Dayton & Imbrie, Eddie & Andy, NUL A, Polite Plants, Rhoads WID Group, Shelby's Squad, Shop Shelf Style, Tiny Things, and ZMJstudio.
The evening will feature live music from Tipsy Wicked, along with giant Jenga and cornhole lawn games to keep the atmosphere festive and welcoming for friends, families, and colleagues alike.
A Special Summer Giveaway
To celebrate the upcoming arrival of the world's biggest soccer tournament in Philadelphia, June's event will feature a special soccer-inspired giveaway. Attendees can also look forward to other seasonal promotions and giveaways from local Navy Yard businesses throughout the evening.
