PhillyBite10PHILADELPHIA - A South Philadelphia culinary institution is heading to the Stadium District just in time for fall football season. Starting Thursday, September 10, 2026, Old Original Nick's Roast Beef will take over the rotating pop-up space at Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia's newly reimagined 10th Street Market.

Operating in Philadelphia since 1938, the four-generation, family-owned eatery is renowned for its hand-carved meats. Owner Megan Rose said the pop-up offers an "unmatched platform" to share their 90-year tradition with locals and global visitors in the bustling Stadium District.

The Menu and Hours

Fans can expect Nick's signature slow-roasted, in-house meats served on fresh Liscio's rolls. The pop-up will operate through the fall, remaining open each day until midnight or until the food sells out.

  • The Meats: USDA Prime roast beef, roast turkey, roast pork, and baked ham.
  • The Sides: Broccoli rabe sandwiches and sides, alongside classic Italian long hot peppers.
  • Hours of Operation:
    • Thursday & Friday: 5:00 PM – Midnight
    • Saturday: 12:00 PM (Noon) – Midnight
    • Sunday: 12:00 PM (Noon) – 9:00 PM

A Reimagined 10th Street Market

Nick's Roast Beef is the latest vendor to participate in Live! Philadelphia's rotating pop-up program, which launched this past summer with a highly successful residency by James Beard Award-winning chef Cristina Martínez's South Philly Barbacoa.

The pop-up initiative is part of a recent $1.2 million investment to enhance the casino's food and beverage offerings. The rotating space sits alongside expanded footprints for permanent 10th Street Market staples, including Lorenzo and Sons Pizza, Termini Bros. Bakery, and Geno's Steaks. According to Jake Joyce, Senior Vice President of Marketing, the market aims to serve as a platform for the local businesses that define Philadelphia's food scene.

A Meaningful Grand Opening

To kick off the residency, Live! Philadelphia and Old Original Nick's will host a community luncheon honoring Philadelphia firefighters, EMS personnel, and service members in recognition of the 25th anniversary of 9/11. As part of the grand opening, the casino will also donate to the Philadelphia Fire Department Foundation.
