PhillyBite10PHILADELPHIA - That simple motto helped build Evil Genius Beer Company into a regional staple, and now the beloved Philadelphia brewery is ready to celebrate its milestone anniversary in a massive way. On Saturday, October 3, 2026, the brewery is taking over the streets of Fishtown for the Evil Genius 15th Anniversary Music Festival.

Running from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM, the festival will shut down Front Street from Cecil B. Moore Avenue to Palmer Street, and Palmer Street from Front Street to Blair Street. The all-ages, family-friendly, and dog-friendly block party is completely free to attend and open to the public, with food and drink available on a pay-as-you-go basis.

“This festival is a massive thank you to our community, our fans, and the neighborhood that supported us along the way,” said Trevor Hayward, co-founder of Evil Genius. “We've always been rooted in nostalgia, and there's no better way than celebrating with the music that helped bring us all together.”

A Full Day of Nostalgia and Live Music

To honor their 15th year, Evil Genius has curated a 10-hour music lineup designed to bring the soundtrack of your youth roaring back to life.

The festival is anchored by international headliner Wheatus, the New York-based rock band whose global smash hit "Teenage Dirtbag" recently celebrated its 25th anniversary and a massive viral resurgence. Wheatus will take the stage from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. to close out the night.

The rest of the day features a stacked lineup of incredibly talented local acts covering everything from generation-defining 2000s anthems to atmospheric shoegaze:

  • Kat Rivers & The Second Sight (12:00 PM – 12:55 PM): Female-fronted Rock 'N Roll showcasing tight musicianship and jaw-dropping vocal range.

  • Tell All Your Friends (1:10 PM – 2:05 PM & 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM): A full-throttle, sing-your-heart-out experience covering emo and alt anthems from bands like Taking Back Sunday and Paramore.

  • Lunar Pools (2:20 PM – 3:15 PM): Atmospheric alternative rock blending layered guitars and melodic depth.
  • Madska (4:45 PM – 5:40 PM): Self-proclaimed "rose-colored rock" blending pop, indie, and alternative sounds.
  • every7years (6:00 PM – 7:00 PM): Modern alternative rock drawing from punk and art-rock influences, led by dual vocalists.
  • Disterbenz (7:15 PM – 7:45 PM): Singer-songwriter Gabrielle Sterbenz, a longtime touring partner of Wheatus, performing a blend of Americana, Folk, and Rock.

Exclusive Anniversary Beer Releases

It wouldn't be an Evil Genius party without a few serious (and highly unique) brews. To honor the milestone, the brewery is dropping two exclusive anniversary releases:

  • Get In My Belly (11% ABV): A hot sauce Maple Chili Barleywine available on tap and in 500ml bottles. This sweet and spicy beer started as one strong brew that was split in two—half resting in a maple syrup barrel, and the other half resting in a hot sauce barrel. Three years later, the halves have been blended back together.
  • Look at This Photograph (6.5% ABV): A 15 Hop IPA packed with 15 different hop varieties (including Citra, Simcoe, and Galaxy) and conditioned on actual birthday cake. It offers a lush, pillowy mouthfeel with tropical fruit notes and a subtle cake-batter sweetness. Available exclusively on draft for the festival.

Neighborhood Eats and an Outdoor Artisan Market

Fishtown's incredible culinary scene is joining the festivities. Neighborhood staples like LMNO will be setting up an outdoor taco and margarita bar, while Mecha Noodle Bar will be serving fresh hand rolls and sake.

Between music sets, attendees can stroll through a massive outdoor market featuring over 50 local artisans, makers, and small businesses. From cold-pressed organic juices by Jrip Juicery to vintage horror designs by Scary Mary's and fine perfumes by Venus Invictus, the vendor lineup highlights the diverse creative talent found across Philadelphia.

Since launching in 2011, best friends Luke Bowen and Trevor Hayward have grown Evil Genius into a powerhouse brand that distributes across eight states. This Saturday, they are inviting the entire city to raise a glass to the next 15 years.
